Hiring Process FAQ's

If you are reading this, it is likely that you have applied for a position at Mobile Track Solutions and may already have an interview set up. Starting a new job can be a fun, yet taxing process. Many individuals have lots of questions and concerns when it comes to the interview process and starting on your first day. Some of these frequently asked questions are answered below:

"Where should I apply?"

We accept applications in a number of ways. We encourage anybody interested to apply on our website directly for any position you may see available or just submit a “General Application”. You’ll likely also find our openings on Facebook, Indeed, LinkedIn, and other job boards. You can apply through any of these platforms.

“Where do I go for my interview?”

Our large facility may make this intimidating, but we are here to help! We are located at 203 Johnson Street, Elkader, IA 52043. When arriving for the first time, you will enter through the North Offices located by Building A (see map attached). Stop at the front desk and let them know you are here for an interview, and they will help you get to the place you need to be. The hiring manager might already be there waiting for your arrival.

“When should I follow up after an interview?”

When a new position opens for our company, it is not rare to have multiple people applying for this opening. You will want to give the hiring manager 2-3 days to get through interviewing the other applicants before following up. If you do have any questions throughout your application and or interviewing process you can always email

“What is the interviewing process like at MTS?”

Hiring the best candidate for the job is our ultimate goal with every recruitment. Interviewing and selection is very important for us as we review applicants. We do phone interviews, in- person interviews, and many of our positions require pre-employment screening which includes technical / aptitude exams, Health Physicals, Drug & Alcohol Screening and more. Again, all of this is to ensure we are selecting the best candidate who meets our requirements. This also means our recruitment process can be quite lengthy as we review applicants and start them through the interviewing process.

Even though we may not have a specific position posted or available at this time, we want anybody who is interested in employment at Mobile Track Solutions to reach out to us and apply. We never know when we are going to have an opening, so we never stop recruiting.
